Love the food and the atmosphere is historic and the people are awesome

First time here. The staff are friendly and the food was great!! I ordered the Quesadilla Azteca and it was delicious, plentiful and flavorful. The salsa is fresh. The queso is lacking a little in flavor but is okay. I’ll be back again when I pass through.

The best Tex-Mex in West Texas. Tried many things here, and everything is delicious. This is the only place I've been to that has chicken fried bacon! It's addictive!

Wow! I moved to Tx 4 yrs ago and my opinion of Mexican restaurants are...you've eaten at one, you've eaten at them all. I had the chicken fajita burrito topped with chili and cheese. Holy cow. Unique! Delicious! I want the recipe! Problem is...this town is in the middle of nowhere (were just passing through) and we'll probably never come this way again.

Good quality Mexican cuisine. They have really good selection of Mexican dishes and they have a great work staff that is very polite.

This is a restaurant that my family and I frequent at least once a month. The food is always piping hot and delicious, and it never takes long for it to get to your table. The staff is always friendly and courteous. And when you visit the chicken fried bacon with gravy appetizer is a must!

The salsa wasn't the best and was cold right out of the fridge. The waitress was very nice and attentive!

Food is excellent and had our food ready in ten minutes. Also the price for all our food of a family of 5 was so cheap compared to most places we've eaten. 😊

I'm from Dallas Texas so I know Mexican food. This place surpasses most Mexican restaurants in the city. Absolutely Delicious!! I'm stopping her everytime I come to Ballinger.

I know how to cook Italian food, taught by Italians stationed at Lackland AFB. I didn't like what they cooked! They also didn't have very many customers so I'm not the only one.

Wonderful staff (especially Cathy) taco salad or tres colores enchiladas is what I would recommend.

We stop at Alejandra’s on the way to and home from Lake Brownwood. It’s become tradition. Everyone has their faves - mine is the chicken fajitas rancheros. My kids love their burgers and chicken strips. We’ve eaten here many times and have yet to be disappointed.

I was taken to lunch at this little restaurant on a Saturday. First time I visited. We enjoyed our lunch. The restaurant was very clean and comfortable. I would go back for sure! Great food!

Long traveling day for us, but found this gem of a place in Ballinger for lunch. The owner is working very hard to make the outdoor space enjoyable during this time of social distancing. Her daughter is darling and a good waitress. OUTSTANDING fajita quesadillas and enchiladas.

Service was so slow that we had to get up and get our own drinks. Waited at least 30 min to get a burrito with queso. When we went to pay our ticket she overcharged me so I had to tell her to fix it... 4.00 tip was way too generous!!

Best in area! Always try to catch it open when traveling from Bangs to San Angelo or Ballinger.

An excellent restaurant with great food and wonderful service. Just over the bridge as you enter Ballinger Texas from the east. We rode motorcycles and had a great time. You won't be disappointed.

Food was good we went at lunch and they were very under staffed! There were only 2 waitresses for the whole restaurant. So service was not very good. The management should've been working. Even the cashier/hostess was trying hard to help.

Gave it a 1 because the food was only okay. Worst service I have ever had! After waiting too long to take our orders when she finally brought our food we had never gotten silverware so we asked for some and after 5 minutes of watching her wait on others we asked another waitress, which was very helpful, she never returned to our table for refills or anything. We also did not get all of our order. Horrible, rude waitress & when we mentioned it at checkout she never said sorry or anything. Thanks to the waitress that helped us out but we will never go there again.

Alejandra's is the best restaurant in Ballinger. It's in an historic bldg and the restaurant owners have kept the rugged interior practically as is, including the original wood floor. It's a Mexican food restaurant though tbh I've only ever eaten the chicken fried steak. Most Mexican food restaurants in Texas serve this dish and theirs is by far the best around. If you're traveling through it's worth a stop. I highly recommend.

This place is really cool, great food and service!

Went for lunch, but it doesn't start until 11 so we had breakfast. The waitress seemed irritated by us, but our food came fast. I got the Acapulco breakfast plate. It says it comes with eggs covered in chili con queso. It tasted like stale or generic velveeta. Others in my party were pleased with their selections. One of them had the egg and cheese omelette and it looked like it was good. I will likely dine there again, but will order something else and hopefully try lunch or dinner.

Great unique Mexican restaurant in Ballinger, TX. Inside is very clean and nostalgic items are on the walls and area. Staff is friendly, attentive and helpful about menu or area. The food is outstanding and very tasty.
